i recieved my b.a. in guitar
performance from california state polytechnic
university, pomona. there i studied with
both matthew elgart and peter yates from
the elgart/yates guitar duo. i have also
participated in serveral master classes
with such guitarist as manuel barecco, scott
tenant, the assad duo, the cavatina duo
and others. my teaching approach is to mold
my students into musicians as opposed to
just guitarist. i acomplish this through
teaching music theory, discussions, ear
training all of this combined with the standard
