Phillip De La O studied classical guitar under Peter Yates. With playing expierence in a variety of styles, his activities include composing, arranging, and performing - both as a soloist and as a member of the Pomona Guitar Trio. Over the course of his studies, Phillip has received various awards and grants including the Randy Rhodes Classical Guitar Scholarship. His B.A. in music performance is from Cal Poly Pomona where he studied with Dr. Buzz Gravelle and his M.M. degree is from UCLA.
